1. matariki is a group of stars.

3. Matariki is all about celebration, and spending time with family.

4.Matariki is the Māori name for the cluster of stars also known as the Pleiades.

5.the name of the stars are  waipunarang ,waita waiti .ururangi, tupu a rangi ,tupu a nuku ,andthe last one is mataariki

6.Matariki has two meanings, both of which refer to the cluster of stars.

7.Mata Riki means Tiny Eyes, and Mata Ariki means Eyes of God.

8.It’s these 7 stars that have traditionally been known as the 7 sisters, or the Matariki.

9. Although there are actually 1000’s of stars that make up the pleaides cluster, and there are technically 9 stars that make up the constellation, there’s just 7 stars you can really make out with the naked eye.

 1 How did the problem occur?

There was a ship called the Rene and it crashed and oil came out of the ship.

 1300 containers with food also fell off. 

What happened to the things that came off the ship?  Oil came out it spilled out of the ship  

Why was it a problem that the oil spilled and the containers washed up?
The food became rotten   and they smelt like a rubbish tip and twenty thousand  sea bird
were killed from the oil.   

 2 Is it an easy problem to solve?

It was a hard problem because when the ship crashed all of the oil came out
and 7 people in special gear came and clean up the mess.

3. What can we do to solve this problem? So how can we help make sure this doesn’t happen again?

Penguins have many different physical characteristics. There are 17 different kinds of penguins. Penguins have flippers instead of arms. 

Penguins eat krill, fish and squid. Penguins do not eat a wide range of food, they mostly eat fish. 

Penguins are usually found in cold water. Penguins live in the Antarctic. Penguins huddle together to keep warm. 

Penguins have a little bit of predators. Penguins predators are killer whales and seals.

Polar bears are unique and have different characteristics. It looks like polar bears are white but it has transparent fur. and Polar bears eat a range of different food. They eat seals,fish,small dead whales and they go hunting in the winter. There are only a few places where polar bears live. They live in the North pole. The bears dig dens in the sloppy ice. polar bears are not like humans and they do not have the same life cycle. They are born in the winter,and they drink milk from others. polar bears are unique. They live in only a few places around the world. They have different physical features, eat a range of different foods and have a few
